Nathan Greno is working on an upcoming film that is rumored to be released on November 23, 2016.

After Byron Howard's Zootopia was confirmed for the March 04, 2016 release date, it wasn't known which film would occupy the other 2016 slot. Now according to the member Mr. Azevedo on the Brazilian message board AnimationS who claims to have spoken with Nathan Greno, the film planned for the fall of 2016 is his. However, since we can't verify the accuracy of this claim, we'll only be treating this as a rumor for the time being.

This member also shared a photo that Nathan Greno posted on his Facebook account on May 17, 2013. Nathan had the following to say about the project.
Nathan Greno wrote:Trust me, we are hard at work on the new film! I wish I could say more -- I'm REALLY excited to tell everyone what it is! If you enjoyed Tangled, I believe you'll love the new project.

A castle? So I'm assuming a fairytale/folktale/period-thingie?

And is it just my active imagination or does that looks like a drooling bear in the bottom left image?

Great find, Sotiris!

Big Hero 6 - November 07, 2014
Phineas and Ferb: The Movie - 2014

Inside Out - June 19, 2015
Finding Dory - November 25, 2015
Planes 3 - 2015 (?)

Byron Howard's Untitled Film - March 04, 2016
Untitled Dia de los Muertos Film - June 17, 2016
Nathan Greno's Untitled Film - November 23, 2016

Teddy Newton's Untitled Original Film - June 16, 2017
Untitled Pixar Sequel (Toy Story 4 ?) - November 22, 2017

Musker & Clements' Untitled Film - March 09, 2018

Dean Wellins' Untitled Film - November 21, 2018

I don't think we are getting the Phineas and Ferb movie, we have not heard anything about it from Povenmire and/or Marsh, the creators.

Disney set it for an unspecified 2014 release but I don't think we'll be getting it then either. When asked about the movie at E3 this year, the creators responded with "Maybe. We'll see."

I was wondering whether it might be a giant? Perhaps Jack and the Beanstalk?

Considering how poorly Jack the Giant Slayer did, I think Disney will avoid a Jack and the Beanstalk adaptation for the time being.

Well, Rumplestilken was rumored for a while. I seriously doubt that it's his movie. But yeah, the castle keeps me wondering....

BTW: What about Wreck It Ralph 2? :o

I think it's alittle to early to even guess what WDAS 2016 films will be. Considering we have yet to see a full trailer for Frozen & haven't even started on Big Hero 6 "but Disney did release 1 concept art piece & a 30sec teaser for BH6 last May".

Still, a mordern Disney version of J&tB would be amazing! My favorite J&tB movie was Jack and the Beanstalk (ジャックと豆の木 Jakku to Mame no Ki
Anyone remember/seen that film?

Sure Nathan has a movie in development but I wouldn't let people know on this thread that it is slated for the end of 2016 until it is officialized by Disney as there are many projects in the pipeline for now.
"Only" Frozen and Big Hero 6 have official dates for now.
And it's mostly sure next will be Byron's for March 2016...

You're right. Since it hasn't been officially confirmed yet, we'll treat this only as a rumor. I've amended the first post to reflect that.

Yup, I'm well aware of Fun & Fancy Free, but I think it's far enough removed from the public eye these days that it's unlikely anyone would object, "Disney's already adapted Jack & the Beanstalk!"

As for Jack the Giant Slayer tanking, again, assuming this thing wouldn't even come out until 2016 at the earliest, it's doubtful anyone would remember Jack the Giant Slayer let alone cry foul. It's not like Barbie Rapunzel stopped Disney from making Tangled or the many Snow Queen adaptations is stopping them from making Frozen.

Not that I'm gunning for Jack & the Beanstalk or anything. Just squinting at the pictures and making a guess at what the film might be :)

So I guess Giants will be a loose adaption of Jack and the Beanstalk. Or an original story. Either way, it won't come out until 2016, so it's too early for speculation.

Jack and the Beanstalk is exactly what I thought of as well. So a continuation of the idiotic titles.
