The merchandise of the movie has not been amazing so I don't think that they are going to earn much money with that. The creatures were really cute and they could have made something more kawaii now that all this cute plush toys are a popular trend.

Not surprised about this. The merchandise from the Cars franchise sells really well so it makes sense to make a franchise focussed on toddlers that can't have the normal cars produced by Mattel.

What a shame for them to make such a flop. They had one of the most beloved movie of all time to take as reference and they couldn't make some justice to it. Honestly I don't know where it went all the budget because I re watched the film last week and it looks really bad.
