Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2015

Good question! All the movies from Walt Disney Animation Studios are now available on Blu-ray in Norway (except for the package movies made during WWII), as Disney seems to have abandoned their vault policy completely. Wait, you already got "The Black Cauldron", "The Great Mouse Dete...

Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2015

Well, at least the US got *some* new back catalogue releases. 101 Dalmatians and Aladdin have been released in Europe years ago (without any new bonus content), but we are still waiting for The Great Mouse Detective, both Winnie the Pooh films, all the package movies, The Black Cauldron, The Muppet ...

Re: Who Performed The Disney Afternoon Themes?

Is Joseph Williams the son of that John Williams? :o That's awesome! I don't know if it is of any interest, but there is another English version of the Ducktales theme, sung by Thomas Anders. It was made for the first German broadcast. Don't ask me why they didn't just use the original theme- I have...

Re: Big Hero 6

I swear, there has to be some ritual between Disney Germany's staff, where the one who comes up with the stupidest subtitle wins a prize. http://www11.pic-upload.de/12.08.14/kn21lsasd2eh.jpg If you haven't guessed, "Robowabohu" is a portmanteau of "robot" and " Tohuwabohu &q...

Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2014

As long as they manage to deliver actually good blu-rays, with new and interesting bonus features and great picture quality, I'll gladly take this over what we have now. No more FUCKED* up versions of films like "The Sword in the Stone", of which the DVD looks actually better than the Blu-...

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)

Scamander , I own seasons 1 and 2 on iTunes, it was season 3 I'm after. The UK have not got a scheduled release date for season 3, which is what I've ordered, and I've contacted iTunes UK and they said they have no current plans to add Once Season 3 to their listing. If we get the home release it w...

Re: Once Upon A Time (ABC TV Series)

Disney's Divinity … agree whole-heartedly with your post  I'm a little nervous now though about the DVDs ….. wondering if its worth just going for blu anyway, but its over $20 more …. and with no difference in bonus features it seems :? Why don't you just buy the UK blu-rays? The Season 1+2 pac...

The easiest way would be via amazon.de. You don't have to register if you already have an amazon.com account. Just use that one.

Re: Disney titles in Japanese

The King Who Became A Llama rotfl That's the best, hands down. I mean, you get exactly what's on the tin with that one. In German we have the title "Ein Königreich für ein Llama" (A Kingdom for a Llama) imitating the well-known phrase "Mein Königreich für ein Pferd" (My kingdom ...

What? Really? Either I only heard rumors or blocked it out. I love Wreck-it Ralph, but I don't want Disney to become the next Dreamworks (or post-2009 Pixar for that matter) in terms of sequels. -.-

Regarding the different versions...check for yourself. Even tough in Spanish you can tell what on the disc and the amount of features. Check the Diamond one; do click where it says VER MÁS so you can check all the content: http://www.mubis.es/titulos/bambi-blu-ray Now the the regular version; Makin...

Re: Diamond Line vs non labeled releases

Yeah, they sometimes marked them as region B, but all Blu-rays releases worldwide after 'The Princess and the Frog' are indeed region free (except for the European TJB Diamond Edition, as stated above). I also very much doubt that the re-release of Bambi is anything more than an exactly reprint of t...

They are also region free in Europe. After TPatF Disney only released region free Blu-rays, except for the European TJB Diamond Edition.
