| I love Pete's Dragon so much. It was one of the first Disney movies I had
ever seen and I fell in love with it. It has so much to offer. It's funny
and heartwarming. Good songs and dances. Most of all, it makes me want to
have a dragon of my own. I remember when I was younger, I would watch this
movie over and over again. I would sing along to all the songs and wish
for the happy ending even though I had seen it before. When I got my DVD
player this was one of the first movies I bought, I knew I needed it.
Pete's Dragon tell the story of an orphan boy who runs away from a bad
family. He meets a dragon who helps and sometimes hinders his plans to find
his way in life and on his journey, helps other people even though they
think they don't need it. The music is something to remember, the songs can
be upbeat and fun to sing and then they can be sad and make tears come to
your eyes. The actors are great and can be funny. Although, this isn't one
of the first movies to combine a little bit of animation with live action, I
think it came out great. When you talk about Disney movies, Pete's Dragon
isn't one that comes out first but I think it should, as it has all the
elements of family fun and has a great message. Love always brings us
together.

• Though generally considered a failure by its practically perfect expectations, Disney gave Pete's Dragon surprisingly satisfying DVD treatment. With a wonderful-looking anamorphic widescreen transfer and a generous smattering of bonus features, not only is this one of the most pleasing DVD releases for a '70s live action film, it's a contender for the best Gold Collection disc put out by the studio.
